Busy, busy, busy

I've been busy, busy, busy these last few days. I'm ready for my soulmate to recover and take back his share of the responsibilites. Trying to work and care for him is enough but on top of everything else I had a baby shower at my house this week for a co-worker. It was a pretty simple affair but enough to keep me running around for a few days trying to get everything together. The baby is a girl so I dolled up everything in pink....

This is the table but it wasn't quite completed here.

The menu was Chicken Salad sandwiches, Cream Cheese Pinwheels (cream cheese with extra goodies rolled up in a flour tortilla and then sliced...don't know another name for these??) a hot Chicken Enchilada Dip, fresh veggies, and fresh fruit, cupcakes, nuts and mints, lemonade and iced tea.

I also made little pacifers out of two mint Lifesavers and one pink Jelly Belly. I tied a piece of pink ribbon on the "handle" of each to dress it up some.

I also created a banner/clothes line across the entry to the kitchen with the baby's name spelled out and some goodies hung up on the line. I printed the letters on the computer and then traced them onto scrapbook paper and cut them out and laminated them. The picture isn't real clear, but maybe you can make it out...

Uh, the baby's name is not ORGAN....it looks like the "M" was cut off the front of the clothes line.

I think everyone had a good time and the mother-to-be got lots of pretties.
