A week ago my former employer passed away. Bruce was such a special person. He was a great storyteller and fantastic person to work with, generous to a fault and all around good person. He left this world way too early. He will be greatly missed. His family and friends held a memorial service last Friday and it was standing room only. Many great stories were told of Bruce and his wonderful life. About a year after I worked for him he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, but what took him was a bout with pneumonia.
Bruce you will be missed beyond measure.....
God bless you and your fine family.

The best Mother-in-law EVER!
Sixteen years ago I lost the most precious Mother-in-law I could have ever wished for. She taught me more in the short nineteen years I knew her than anyone can imagine. This family has never been the same since her passing, she left a mark on this earthly world that no one can erase. This song really describes the relationship she and my FIL shared.
I miss you...
I miss you...

Dad

One year ago today my Dad passed from this world. He was such a sweet and gentle man, but was also wound up tighter than most people who knew him from simple acquaintance could understand. I've had a year of a roller coaster ride with my feelings about his death. Sometimes a lot of guilt...for not doing more for him and for having him in the living center he was in...those two are the biggest guilt's I struggle with. But there have been many highs in the time we had together the last few years and the joy of the bond we strengthened. Dad wasn't your mushy lovey dovey type...and it was always a struggle to figure out where he was coming from unless he truly disliked something and then he usually made that known. He was very little trouble because he demanded very little....a Dr.Pepper, some chocolate or ice cream and a place to lay his head for a nap. He enlightened us with his humor and taught us great lessons, with the valor in which he handled what was dealt to him. I miss him immensely but know he is in a better place. I love you Daddy.

Two die in Oklahoma wrecks, including boy on ATV
From Staff Reports
Two people died in state wrecks Saturday afternoon, including an 8-year-old boy riding on an all-terrain vehicle, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Dead are:
Michael Lane McCloud, 8, Richardson, Texas.
Michael died when the all-terrain vehicle on which he was riding rolled on top of him in southern McClain County north of Lindsey, the patrol said.
About 4:45 p.m., Kinsey McCloud, 12, of Richardson, Texas, was driving the ATV in a pasture in the 15000 block of Meridian Avenue when she made a sharp left turn, the patrol said. The ATV rolled onto its side and landed on top of Michael, who died at the scene.
Kinsey and another passenger, Sue Harrison, 59, of Lindsey, were not hurt, the patrol said.
Troopers did not say if anyone was wearing a helmet.
In its preliminary accident report, the patrol cited excessive speed as the cause of the wreck.
This has been a sad weekend for the Powell family. Lane was the grandson of my Soul mate's cousin. Please remember this family in your prayers as they are suffering tremendously...
