The Simple Woman's Daybook Monday August 3, 2009

For Today...

Outside my window... a rose bed trying to survive the heat

I am thankful for... health insurance.

From the kitchen... watermelons, Israel melons & a couple of fresh tomatoes.

I am wearing... turquoise pants set

I am reading... Alphabet Weekends by Elizabeth Noble

I am hoping... a cleaning fairy to stop by my house..

I am creating... a lot of trouble for myself

I am praying... for faithful friends and family.

Around the house... stuff!

One of my favorite things... a drive in the country.

A few plans for the rest of the week... paying bills, cleaning house, washing car....fun stuff.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Just one of those interesting things we see on those drives in the country...

The Simple Woman's Daybook Monday July 13, 2009

For Today...

Outside my window... the beginnings of another hot day :(

I am thankful for... air conditioning!

From the kitchen... squash & bbq pork roast...yum!

I am wearing... the same outfit I wore to church yesterday....black slacks and pink & black sheerish top...with new pink and silver necklace & earrings from Charming Charlies!

I am reading... Whatever my precious daughter tells me I need to be reading (ha, ha, ha!). The 3rd (?) in Adriana Trigiani's series "Home to Big Stone Gap"

I am hoping... for cooler weather?

I am creating... lots of things in my mind...just can't seem to put them in action.

I am praying... thankfulness for hubby's speedy recovery.

Around the house... little piles... here, there, and everywhere!

One of my favorite things... the laughter from my family.

A few plans for the rest of the week... shopping for just the right birthday gift for DIL, joining the local rec center and GOING EVERY day, Bunko, allergy shots & hair removal (TMA!!).

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Roxy gets a bath yesterday and it tuckered her out!

P.S. And she had nothing to do with the "Around the house" statement....
